SSDI payments are arriving on February 12, thus, if you were born from the 1st to the 10th, it is time to check your bank account. Of course, as long as you were not eligible for the Social Security Disability Insurance payment on the 3rd.
The SSDI payment of the 3rd makes you ineligible because you started receiving Social Security before May 1997 or you are receiving both Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income payments.
Not eligible for an SSDI payment this week?
It is possible that you were born after the 10th. Then, the Social Security Administration can distribute your monthly disability payment on two different paydays. However, if you were born exactly from the 11th to the 20th, your next payday will be on the 19th.
The February 19th payment for SSDI shares the same features as the one on the 12th but the birthdays that make you eligible change. Hence, you cannot receive it if you are receiving SSI too or if you got disability benefits before May 1997.
Last, but not least, there will be an SSDI payment due on February 26, 2025. Undoubtedly, it will only be for those whose birth date falls after the 20th. But who can receive $4,018 in February?
SSDI checks can be worth up to $4,018
Although many people think that SSDI payments cannot be so high, it is possible. However, you must have been a really high earner for more than 34 years. This is a clear disadvantage because many workers with a disability cannot work for at least 35 years or more.
Other requirements to get $4,018 are:
- filing at the required age
- earning the contribution and benefit base for 35 years
- have jobs that pay payroll taxes to SSA
On average, Social Security Disability Insurance payments are worth $1,580. Nevertheless, it can be lower than average if you had to file for these monthly payments before you have worked for a long time. Spouses and children can get SSDI on workers’ records too, $431 & $509 on average respectively.
