Remember that there will soon be a Federal holiday in the United States. However, if you need the SSDI payment for a weekend trip, some Social Security recipients will receive their check or direct deposit after Washington’s Birthday (Presidents Day).

SSDI payments will be due on February 19, 2025. Therefore, they will be in your bank account two days after Washington’s Birthday (Presidents Day). For those people living in the United States who do not know about this Federal Holiday, it is important to highlight that it is on February 17.

Will some SSDI recipients collect their payment before Washington’s Birthday (Presidents Day)?

According to Social Security’s payment schedule there will be a payday a few days before February 17. Hence, these eligible recipients will collect their money before Washington’s Birthday (Presidents Day).

In this way, they will be able to use this SSDI money if they need it for a weekend trip. To get money from Social Security on February 12, you must have been born from the 1st to the 10th.

Filing and approval after April 30, 1997, is necessary too. Not to mention the fact that you will not be entitled to this SSDI payment if you are also receiving SSI benefits. Similarly, to get disability benefits on February 19, you must have been born from 11-20.

How much will SSDI recipients get before or after Washington’s Birthday (Presidents Day)?

Actually, there is not a fixed amount. It depends on the number of years you worked for, the age you filed for SSDI, the earnings you had, and the taxes you paid.

Nevertheless, it is possible to know the average amount for all workers with a disability receiving Social Security Disability Insurance. For example, as of December 2024, the average payment is $1,580.

Check of up to $4,018 will be delivered to those who managed to:

  • earn the taxable maximum for 35 years
  • worked in jobs covered by SSA
  • filed as late as SSA require
  • remain eligible
  • worked for 35 years
