February 17 is a Federal Holiday. Therefore, all Social Security offices will be closed. They will not be open because it is when Americans celebrate Presidents Day or Washington’s Birthday.
For your information, Social Security cannot issue any payments or schedule them on Federal Holidays. Thus, if February 17 fell on a normal payday, the Administration would have had to change it to the previous business day.
Social Security offices will not be open on Feb. 17
