If you were not born from the first to the 10th, you could receive your SSDI payment on February 19 or February 26. This will depend on the fact that your birthday is either from the 11th to the 20th or from the 21st to the 31st. Social Security will only issue these Disability Insurance payments if you started receiving them after April 30, 1997.
Those SSDI recipients who are also receiving SSI will not be eligible for the remaining Social Security checks in February. The payday for these two different groups of beneficiaries will be March 3, 2025.
SSDI payments on February 19 or 26
For your information, you can only receive the February 19 payment if your birth date falls from the 11th to the 20th, regardless of the month. Those who were born after the 20th, that is from the 21st to the 31st will get SSDI on February 26.
Therefore, if you were born early in the month, from the 1st to the 10th, you will soon receive your Social Security Disability Insurance payment on February 12, 2025.
Remember that not only will you need to have filed and gotten approval, but you must also remain eligible. SSDI is only for workers with a qualifying disability. So, if you overcome your disability, you may lose your eligibility.
SSDI payment amounts for February 2025
All the February payments for Disability Insurance recipients will include the 2025 COLA increase, just like the January payments. Hence, your checks and deposits will be 2.5% if compared to your 2024 disability payments.
On average, Disability Insurance recipients can collect checks of about $1,580, up from $1,542 in 2024. If you were a high earner for 35 years, you can receive up to $4,018 in 2025.
This is not the largest Social Security payment because Disability Insurance recipients cannot earn delayed credits since they need to file too early due to their medical condition. Retirees can get up to $5,108 if they file at the age of 70.
