SNAP EBT Card Reload Dates for February 2025 by State

February is just around the corner and SNAP payments are about to start since the last January Food Stamps were issued on the 28th in Florida and Texas. Not all Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits will be issued on the same day.

What is more, some States will only have a payday. Therefore, all recipients will get the SNAP payments on the same day. Thus, if you live in Alaska, Vermont, Rhode Island, and North Dakota, check your EBT card on January 1, that is when they will be reloaded.

How do I apply for SNAP benefits and what paperwork is required?

Contact Your State’s SNAP Office or Visit Their Website

  • SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) is run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) but managed at the state level.
  • You can find the contact information for your state’s SNAP office here: USDA SNAP State Directory

After submitting your application, you might need to complete a phone or in-person interview.

Paperwork and Documentation

When applying for SNAP, you may be asked to provide the following documents. Having these ready can help speed up the application process.

Identification

  • Driver’s license, state-issued photo ID, or another government-issued photo identification.
  • Proof of citizenship or immigration status (e.g., birth certificate, green card, naturalization certificate).

Proof of Residency: Lease agreement, utility bills, or other documents showing your current address.

Social Security Numbers: You will need to provide a Social Security number for each member of your household who is applying for benefits.

Income Verification

  • Recent pay stubs or an employer’s statement of earnings.
  • Evidence of self-employment income (if applicable).
  • Unemployment benefits or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) documentation (if applicable).

Expenses and Deductions

  • Housing costs (rent or mortgage statements, property tax bills).
  • Utility bills (electric, gas, water, etc.).
  • Childcare expenses and medical bills (especially for elderly or disabled household members).

Bank Account or Savings Information (If Requested)

  • Statements for checking and savings accounts.
  • Documentation of any other assets, such as stocks or bonds, depending on your state’s requirements.

Eligibility for SNAP paydays and amounts

It will be necessary to have applied and gotten approval to receive any of the February payments for the SNAP program. Keep in mind that it is a benefit for low-income Americans who face food insecurity. Each State has a different way to arrange paydays.

Some use the case number, others the Social Security number or even the Eligibility Determination Group number. Check USDA’s monthly issuance to check eligibility for each payday, State, or territory: https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/monthly-issuance-schedule

As for the amounts*, from 1 person to 8, you can get:

  • $292
  • $536
  • $768
  • $975
  • $1,158
  • $1,536
  • $1,756

*These are the maximum amounts for the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia
