Social Security: The Earnings Limit That Could Benefit Your Retirement Age and Income

Millions of SSDI recipients are waiting for their next Social Security payment in the United States. However, only those born from the 21st to the 31st have a chance to receive a check or direct deposit on March 26.

To get an SSDI payment on the 26th, you can’t be receiving Supplemental Security Income. Besides, you must have received your first Disability Insurance benefits after April 30, 1997.

Who gets SSDI on March 26?

Therefore, if you were born from the 21-31 and you qualify because you meet the other Social Security requirements, you could get an average payment worth $1,580.76.

For your information, $1,580.76 is the average payment for retired workers with a disability. The average payment for Disability Insurance is just $1,439, which is even lower.

This is because a spouse and children can get SSDI benefits on the worker records. However, their monthly payment is generally lower. For example, a child can get about $510 on average. But a spouse receives about $433 on average.

Who will get the maximum SSDI payment on March 26?

It is more than likely that a recipient gets an average SSDI payment rather than the maximum amount. Having a disability can prevent many American workers from meeting Social Security requirements.

For example, to get the maximum amount on March 26 you must have worked for 35 years in jobs covered by SSA. So, due to a disability or medical condition, this is not possible in many cases.

What is more, you must have earned the taxable maximum for 35 years. The age you apply for Social Security Disability Insurance also matters. For example, early filing reduces your monthly payment.

Thus, only those SSDI applicants who also meet the age requirement will receive up to $4,018 on March 26, 2025. Do you think you qualify for Disability Insurance? Then, apply as soon as possible because SSA can take a long time to make a decision regarding your SSDI application.
