SNAP payments will start on February 1, 2025. However, not all States issue Food Stamps from the very first day next month. While some will only have a single payday on Feb. 1, others will go on issuing payments through February 28.

According to USDA, there are 4 States and 1 U.S. territory that will only have SNAP payments on February 1, 2025. They are Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Vermont. Apart from them, the U.S. Virgin Islands will also have a payday in February.

How much can SNAP recipients get in these States?

Three of them (North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Vermont) share the maximum SNAP amounts. For example, a single person can receive up to $292 in the 48 contiguous States through September 30, 2025.

On average, an individual can receive about $199 claims the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Families of 4 can receive up to $975 in North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Vermont. An 8-member family can get up to $1,756 in these 3 States.

However, if you live in Alaska amounts can be up to $586 for 1, $1,953 for 4, and $3,516 for 8. The United States Virgin Islands also have higher maximum amounts. They can be up to $376 (1 person), $1,254 (4 members,) and $2,257 (8 members).
