Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) recipients who qualify can get a Social Security payment as early as April 3, 2025. Many Disability Insurance beneficiaries get the payment on the third because they are also receiving SSI.

Last SSDI benefit payments

The last Social Security Disability Insurance payments will be delivered on April 23, 2025. Remember that to get money on the last payday in April you cannot be on SSI, you can’t have gotten Social Security before May 1997 and your birthday must be from the 21st to the 31st.

There are three different ways for Social Security recipients to get their monthly payments. Some may still get a check, others may receive a direct deposit and some can even get it through a Direct Express®debit card.

To report a late or missing payment, SSDI recipients must wait for three working days. Generally, all payments are on time and any delays may be related to difficulties in processing payment by banks.

SSDI on April 9 & 16

Not eligible for Social Security on April 3 or 26? Then, your payment will be deposited on April 9 if born from the 1st through the 10th. SSA will only check the birthday, not the month or year.

Of course, filing and approval is required before you can get any payments from the Administration. Those Disability Insurance recipients who were born from the 11th to the 20th will get their payment on April 16, 2025.

Payment Date Who Receives the Payment
