The March payment will soon start for RSDI recipients. Social Security‘s payment schedule confirms that retirement, survivor, and disability insurance payments will go from March 3 through March 26, 2025.

Therefore, if you qualify for the March 26 RSDI payment, you will have to wait for longer than those who get it on March 3. Bear in mind that all recipients must have filed and received Social Security’s approval to get any of these monthly checks or direct deposits in the United States.

March 26 Social Security payment: Eligibility for RSDI

To get the last Social Security payment in March, you must have started receiving benefits after April 30, 1997. Secondly, you cannot be a recipient of the Supplemental Security Income program.

In third place, you must have your birthday from the 21st to the 31st. Do you meet all these requirements? If so, the Social Security payment on March 26 will be in your bank account on that date.

Those who do not qualify because they are on both RSDI and SSI will get it on March 3. If you got benefits before May 1997, your payday will also be the 3rd.

RSDI payment amounts confirmed by Social Security

The amount of your Social Security payment will depend on your work history and filing age, among other factors. Retirees will receive on average about $1,978 on March 26, 2025.

If you are on SSDI, you can get about $1,580 on average. Those SSA recipients with the lowest average payments are survivors. They get about $1,546 on average.

For your information, if your RSDI payment is lower than average and you have little money, the Supplemental Security Income may be helpful. It can give you an average payment of about $714.

What is more, all RSDI payments in March include the 2025 COLA increase. So far, the Cost-of-Living Adjustment figure for 2026 is a projection and it will not be confirmed until mid October.
