Renew your Green Card online in the U.S.

First of all, get the latest version of Form I-90. Only current acceptable editions are accepted by USCIS. Visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-90 for more details. There are several reasons why a person may need to renew their Green Card. Among the most common cases, there are:

  • Name change or to correct other information
  • Loss, theft, or damage Permanent Resident Card
  • Replacing an expiring card

In case you are not aware of this, if you are a conditional permanent resident, you can only replace your card. So, only lawful permanent residents can get a renewal. Conditional permanent residents must get either Form I-751 or Form I-829.

How much does Green Card renewal cost?

The cost of your Permanent Resident Card renewal will depend on the reason you need a new card. The easiest way to find out how much the filing fees are is to check the USCIS tool.

USCIS has a fee calculator to find out the cost of your Green Card renewal. All you have to do is select the Form you will be using. For example, Form I-90 for lawful permanent residents and Form I-829 or Form I-751 for conditional permanent residents.

Check USCIS official website for more details about the Green Card fee calculator: https://www.uscis.gov/feecalculator. Apart from Green Card renewals, some citizens may need to update their address with USCIS once they have applied. Do so at: https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange
