Will all 4-member families receive $975 from SNAP in December?
This is just the maximum amount, so if you get a reduction from your SNAP office, you will not receive this full amount. Actually, on average families of 4 receive about $726.
Families of three can get up to $768, but they could be about $594 on average. Bigger families will get more on average too. For example, if you are five, your payment will be about $845 on average (up to $1,158).
The largest SNAP payment left in December will be for eligible families of 8 who qualify for the full amount, $1,756. All these payments include the 2025 COLA increase since it took effect on October 10, 2024. Therefore, the maximum amounts will be the same through September 30, 2024. Make sure you meet ABAWD work requirements if aged 18-54 or get an exemption.
