The Internal Revenue Service often issues tax refund payments within 21 days after filing. However, it is not possible for the IRS to deliver all the payments within just three weeks because of several reasons.

Americans who have not filed and paid their taxes to the IRS yet must do so before the April 15, deadline. If you need an extension of time, pay your tax liability and request it before April 15, 2025.
