SNAP recipients can qualify for a Food Stamp check worth $536 if they get no reductions. This will be the maximum amount for 2 recipients in the 48 contiguous States. States like Alaska or Hawaii, and territories like Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands have larger payment amounts for 2 people.

The March payment schedule for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program started on March 1, 2025. Thus, some states have issued all the SNAP checks for all sorts of household,s including families of 2.

Other possible SNAP amounts

If you are a single person on SNAP, you can only get up to $292. A family of 3 can get up to $768. Keep in mind that all the March payments include the 2025 COLA increase.

A 4-member family can receive up to $975. Some families may have 5 members, so they can receive up to $1,158. Are you six members living together? Then, you could receive up to $1,390.

A seven-member household can get up to $1,536. The highest amount set is $1,756 for 8. Any additional member, after 8, can boos the payment by $220. These maximum amounts are only in the 48 contiguous States. For example, in Hawaii a household of 2 can get up to $948.
