Social Security’s payment schedule for March 2025 is official. While some RSDI recipients get money from the Agency on March 3, others will have to wait for longer to get their check or direct deposit simply because they filed after April 30, 1997, or because they are on both Supplemental Security Income and Retirement, Survivor or Disability Insurance benefits in the United States.

In order to arrange paydays for RSDI recipients, Social Security uses birth dates for those who began collecting benefits after April 30, 1997. Were you born from the 21st to the 31st? In this case, you will be the last to get any of these benefits in March.

Next RSDI payment is official, says Social Security

On March 12, 2025, Retirement, Survivor and Disability Insurance recipients can get their monthly payment. This will be possible if you were born from the 1st to the 10th.

For your information, after the payment of March 3, Social Security always issues monthly payments on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in March. Unless it falls on a Federal holiday, because the payment would have to be rescheduled to the previous business day.

The average Social Security payment will depend on the sort of benefit you get from SSA:

  • Retirement average payment: $1,978
  • Survivors’ average payment: $1,546
  • Disability Insurance average payment: $1,580

Retirees, survivors and Disability Insurance recipients may also collect a monthly payment on March 19. This will be your payday if you are on Social Security and you were born from the 11th to the 20th.

The final payday will be on March 26 if born from 21-31. Although average payments are likely, som recipients may get a lot less from the Administration. If your Social Security check or deposit is too low, apply for Federal benefits.

For example, some RSDI with a low income may receive Supplemental Security Income and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits in the United States.
