RSDI payments will be delivered on April 3, 2025. Those who are new to these monthly payments should know that they are for those Social Security recipients whose benefits started before May 1997.

If you receive your SSI (Supplemental Security Income) payment on April 1, then your Social Security check or direct deposit will be delivered on April 3 as well. Of course, this will only be possible if you qualify for both benefits.

Other RSDI payments in April

Retirement, Survivor, and Disability Insurance benefits will be in your bank account in less than 48 hours. However, if you do not qualify for the next Social Security payment, you may get money on a different payday.

In this case, you could receive your RSDI payment on April 9, 16 or 23. Were you born from the 1st to the 10th? Then, your Social Security payment will be delivered on April 9.

RSDI recipients whose birthdays are from the 11th to the 20th will get money from SSA on April 16, 2025. The last payday for RSDI will be on April 23 for those whose birth date is from 21-31.

RSDI and SSI payment amounts in April

All the RSDI payments in April include the 2025 COLA increase so the amounts will be higher than in 2024. On average, Retirement, Survivor and Disability Insurance payments are worth $1,839.

Depending on the type of monthly payment you are currently receiving, the average payment amount will be higher or lower. For example, the average payment for retirees is worth $1,980.

Survivors can get about $1,547 on average. If you are on SSDI benefits, you can receive about $1,580 on average. Only retirees on Social Security retirement benefits can get the highest payments.

For example, if you file for Social Security at 70, you can get up to $5,108. The largest SSDI benefit payment is $4,018, just like the maximum benefit for retirees who file at Full Retirement Age in 2025.
