Next SSDI payments for February 2025

Once you apply and receive Social Security‘s approval to get SSDI payments, you can only receive money on one of the 4 paydays. The first payment date will be due on February 3, 2025. To receive money on this payday, you must have filed for Disability Insurance and received benefits before May 1997.

If you started collecting SSDI after this date, you could still qualify. However, it will be essential you are receiving Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income at the same time. Thus, if you are receiving both disability benefits, February 3 will be your next payday.

SSDI checks of $1,580 on average with COLA

The Social Security Administration has confirmed that the average payments in February will be about $1,580. Of course, they will also include the 2025 COLA, so payments are 2.5% higher than in 2024.

Spouses of workers with a disability on SSDI can also receive disability benefits on their record. Nevertheless, the average amounts are much lower. Actually, they are about $431.66 as of December 2024.

If your children also qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance on your record, they could get about $509.19 on average. Thus, checks could be slightly higher than the average spouses get.

SSDI payments on Wednesdays in February

The Agency has confirmed three more payments for Social Security Disability Insurance on February 12, February 19, and February 26. In this case, you cannot be receiving SSI and you must have collected payments after April 30, 1997.

Were you born from the 1st to the 10th? Then, your next SSDI payment will be issued on February 12, 2025. If it is from the 11th to the 20th, it will be delivered on February 19.

February 26 will be the last payday for Disability Insurance recipients who qualify. To meet the requirements you must have your birth date from the 21st to the 31st.
