Social Security confirms payday for SSI in April 2025

Social Security confirms payday for SSI in April 2025

Good news because SSI recipients will get their next Supplemental Security Income payment on April 1, 2025. However, it will be a disappointment for many because this time, their monthly payment will not be delivered ahead of schedule like on December 31, 2024, January 31 or February 28, 2025.

The SSI payment for April and May, 2025, will be in your bank account on the first day of the month. However, it will be ahead of schedule on June again because June 1 falls on a Sunday.

Who will receive SSI on April 1?

As a matter of fact, this will be the only payday for all Supplemental Security Income recipients in the United States. Nevertheless, you must be eligible and you must have gotten approval from Social Security.

SSI is only for those who have a limited income and limited resources. Hence, if your income or resources go over the limit, this federal benefit will stop for you. To qualify for this program, there are 3 different ways.

Seniors aged 65 or older who meet income and other essential requirements can apply for SSI. This federal benefit will also be for those individuals or married couples who are blind or have a qualifying disability.

SSI payment amounts on April 1, 2025

The maximum Supplemental Security Income payment will be $967, up from $943 in 2024. This is the maximum amount an individual can receive, but not if you are married and both qualify.

For example, if you both get Supplemental Security, your monthly payment could be up to $1,450. It is a great deal of money if you cannot make ends meet in the United States.

Another possibility is to get Supplemental Security as an essential person. Checks and direct deposits can be up to $484. On average, SSI checks can differ depending on your age.

All recipients: 714.37 dollars
Beneficiaries under the age of 18: 834.72 dollars
18–64: 762.14 dollars
65 or older: 590.16 dollars
