SNAP payments of up to $3,516 on January 1 in the U.S.

SNAP payments of up to $3,516 on January 1 in the U.S.

Since SNAP payments are about to be over in 2024, it is time to prepare for the new Food Stamps due in January in the United States. All the beneficiaries have enjoyed the COLA boost in the 48 contiguous States since October 1, 2025, so all checks will include the Cost-of-Living Adjustment. However, recipients in Hawaii got a reduction after the adjustment and maximum amounts have decreased.

Still, Hawaii provides SNAP beneficiaries with one of the largest payments in the United States. Alaska is also giving more money to eligible recipients than in the 48 contiguous States. More money does not mean they can buy more things. Inflation and soaring prices reduce the amount of things customers can buy in their State.

Who will receive $1,756 on January 1, 2025?

If you are living in a household with 8 members and your income and resources are too low, you may qualify for the largest SNAP payment in the 48 contiguous States. An 8-member family can get up to $1,756 in most States.

A single person on SNAP can receive up to $292 or $199 on average per CBPP. Families with four members can get up to $975. Not all states issue payments on January 1, check the full list below. Meeting your State’s requirements is essential to qualify for the first or any other payday.
