Social Security to deliver retirement checks of up to $5,108 in late February

Social Security to deliver retirement checks of up to $5,108 in late February

Retirees who meet 4 conditions will receive a Social Security payment worth $5,108. The payday for eligible retirees will be on February 26. As a matter of fact, it will be the last payday in February for retirees.

It is true that there will be an SSI payment on February 28, but this will only be for low-income Americans who may receive the Social Security payment on March 3, 2025. Here are the conditions to get $5,108 on February 26.

How to get up to $5,108 from Social Security on February 26, 2025

Make sure you have worked for at least 35 years to qualify for the largest payment in 2025 on the 26th. The Administration will also require a specific age to get up to $51,08.

Bear in mind that the largest benefit payment with 24% extra will be for those who file at 70 and meet the other conditions. If you have filed at 62, you will not qualify for this large amount and you will get 30% less.

What is more, you must have earned the taxable maximum for 35 years. Of course, you must have done all this in jobs covered by the Administration. Those who have jobs not covered by SSA may get a pension, but not Social Security.

Social Security & payday eligibility

Depending on the day you were born, you may receive a check or direct deposit earlier or later in the month. For example, if you were born from the 21st to the 31st, your Social Security check will be delivered on February 26.

Remember that this payday will not be yours if you began collecting Social Security before May 1997. If you are on SSI benefits, you are also excluded from the February 26 payment.

All Social Security payments will be delivered on February 26 without delays. If you do not receive your direct deposit on time, contact your bank or financial institution to check if there are any issues.
