The April payment schedule for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) brings a new direct deposit on April 1, 2025. This will be the payday for all Americans eligible for this federal program in the United States. As a matter of fact, you could receive either a check or direct deposit if you got Social Security’s approval and you are still eligible.

Bear in mind that SSI is the monthly payment for low-income Americans who have a disability, are blind, or are at least 65 years old. Thus SSA will check you have limited income and limited resources too. Those whose financial situation improves and exceeds the limit will see their benefits stopped.

SSI payments: maximum amounts

The maximum SSI benefit the Federal Government issues for eligible recipients is $1,450. However, you must be a married couple and you must both qualify for this program.

Keep in mind that any other sources of income, benefits, or resources you have may help reduce this maximum amount. Therefore, not all Supplemental Security Income recipients qualify for the full amount.

Social Security states that an individual can receive from this Federal program up to $967. Hence, if you are single, that is the maximum amount you can get from SSI. An essential person can receive up to $484.

When is the next SSI payment after April 2025?

Social Security confirms that Supplemental Security Ïncome recipients will get a new direct deposit on April 1 and the next one will be delivered on May 1, 2025.

For your information, there is just a payday per month and all recipients who qualify get the monthly payment on the same date. However, the SSI payment for June will be deposited in May.

This is because June 1 falls on the weekend. Social Security only schedules payments on business days. Any payment due on a holiday or on the weekend must be rescheduled to the previous business day.
