As a matter of fact, the next SSI payment of up to $1,450 will go out in just 3 days. More than 7 million Americans rely on this Federal program because they need this benefit to supplement their monthly income in the United States.

Although the Social Security Administration is in charge of SSI applications, paydays, and payment amounts, it gets funds from the Federal Government. Unlike retirement or SSDI payments, there is just one payday for all recipients. Apart from needing financial support, recipients must be at least 65 years old, have a disability, or be blind.

Exact payday for SSI in April

Supplemental Security Income recipients will get their monthly payment of up to $1,450 on April 1, 2025. The previous paydays were late in the months because the first day of January, February and March were either a holiday or the weekend.

In these situations, the Social Security Administration needs to reschedule payment dates. However, the SSI payment for April will be on April 1 and there will be no changes.

When Social Security reschedules a payment, it is generally sent on the previous business day. Although the SSI check or deposit will be sent on May 1, the one for June will be deposited on May 30, 2025.

Maximum SSI payments

Only eligible married couples can get up to $1,450. This will be possible if they do not get any reductions. For example, if Supplemental Security is your only source of income, it will be easier for an eligible married couple to get the full amount.

An individual can get up to $967 from SSI benefits. Therefore, married couples do not receive double the amount an individual can get from this Federal Program in the U.S.

An essential person can also get Supplemental Security Income payments. Nevertheless, they can only get up to $484. If your benefit is not enough, do not forget to apply for SNAP benefits and get money to buy groceries in authorized stores in the USA.
