The Monthly Statistical Snapshot for February has been unveiled and it has brought good news for Social Security RSDI recipients. On average, retirees get more money than in January.

For your information, retirees received from the Social Security Administration about $1,978 on average. After the new Monthly Statistical Snapshot, retirees get about $1,980 on average. Even if it is just two dollars higher on average, it means new recipients are getting more money.

The new average amount for spouses of workers on SSDI is $433, which has slightly gone up. Their children can get about $510 from the Social Security Administration.

Last but not least, survivor beneficiaries can get about $1,547 on average. This amount has gone up by just one dollar. Other average amounts for survivors are:

  • Children of deceased workers: $1,136.27
  • Widowed mothers and fathers: $1,304.62

Social Security April’s RSDI Payment Schedule

Social Security payments will start on April 3, 2025. SSA claims that the direct deposit or check on April 3 will be yours if you received RSDI (Retirement, Survivor, Disability Insurance) benefits before May 1997.

Or if you are currently receiving Supplemental Security Income and Social Security benefits simultaneously. So, you will receive RSDI payments on April 3, 2025, and SSI on April 1, 2025.

Those Social Security recipients who started collecting RSDI after April 30, 1997, and who are not on SSI will receive 1 of the 3 Wednesday payments in the United States.

For example, if you were born from 1-10, your payday will be due on April 9. Those Social Security recipients whose birthdays are from 11-20 will get a monthly payment on April 16, 2025. The final April payday will be for those whose birthdays are from 21-31.
