RSDI payments on March 12 2025 for these Americans

The 2025 RSDI payment schedule from the Social Security Administration confirms it. On March 12, 2025, millions of Americans will receive their monthly benefit payment.

Since it is for RSDI recipients who qualify, it could be for retirement, survivor or disability benefits in the United States. Thus, they share paydays but they may collect different payment amounts.

Eligibility for RSDI on March 12

If you received the Social Security payment on March 3, 2025, you are not eligible. What is more, this payday cannot be yours either if you are on Supplemental Security Income simultaneously.

Those RSDI recipients whose birthday is from the first through the tenth of January through December, will collect their monthly payment on March 12, 2025. Were you born after that date?

Then, there are two more possible paydays for RSDI:

  • payment due on March 19: born from 11-20
  • payment available on March 26: born from 21-31

RSDI average payment amounts confirmed by Social Security

The average payment amount for retirement, survivor, and disability benefits is $1,837.91. This average amount was released in February, as of January 2025. Therefore, it could even be slightly higher.

Retirees are the American recipients with the highest average payment amount. In fact, as of January 2025, they get about $1,978 on average. A spouse on Social Security on the retired worker’s record can receive about $931.28 on average.

Survivor benefits are worth $1,546 on average. Therefore, retirees get more than $430 extra if compared to the amount survivors receive from Social Security. SSDI payments are about $1,580 on average. The amount SSDI recipients receive is much closer to the one survivors get.

If you received RSDI payments on March 3, your next payment from Social Security will be delivered on April 3, 2025. In general, you must earn work credits to get Social Security. For example, to get retirement benefits, you must have worked for at least 10 years in jobs covered by SSA.
