The SNAP payments have been confirmed in February 2025. The maximum Food Stamp amount in the 48 contiguous States will be up to $975 if you live in a four-member family.
On average, a family of 4 can receive about $726 according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priority. Whether it is the full amount or the average payment, it is a great deal of money to save on groceries. If you are working or receive other payments, a lower SNAP check may be possible.
Will all States issue SNAP payments for 4-member families on Feb 1.?
Some states will not issue payments on February 1. However, they may start delivering Food Stamps on February 2, 3, 4 or 5. If you live in South Dakota, you will need to wait until February 10. This will be the only payday for all SNAP recipients.

Will these be the same paydays for other SNAP households?
As a matter of fact, USDA will deliver SNAP payments to all eligible recipients who meet the payday eligibility criteria, regardless of their household size. The thing is your benefit payment may be different.
For example, a single person on SNAP benefits can only receive up to $292. Families with 2 members can receive up to $536. If you live in a household and you are a total of 3 members, you could receive up to $768.
Families of 5, 6, 7 or 8 can get up to:
