SNAP payments in late January and early February

SNAP payments in late January and early February

If you live in Texas and Florida, you may have not received your January Food Stamp payments yet. To get SNAP benefits on the 27th or 28th, you must meet the following requirements. To get money for groceries in Florida on the 27th, your case number 9th and 8th digits must be 93-95. If it ends in 96-99, you will receive them on January 28, 2025.

Texas will issue SNAP payments to Lone Star cards on the 27th if your EDG (Eligibility Determination Group) number ends in 39-41, 46-49, or 93-95. The last Food Stamps to arrive in Texas will be for those whose EDG number ends in 42-45, 50-53, or 96-99.

SNAP payments of up to $292 for 1 person

Those Food Stamp recipients in the 48 contiguous States who are living on their own will receive up to $292 from USDA. Thanks to the 2025 COLA increase for SNAP, benefits are slightly higher from October 1, 2024.

If you are living in a 4-member family, you could receive up to $975, up from $973. Although there is not a big difference between the SNAP amounts in 2024 and 2025, it is better because recipients in Hawaii got a reduction instead after COLA.

The largest benefit payment will be for a family of 8. As a matter of fact, they can receive up to $1,756 after the COLA increase. Remember that many SNAP recipients do not qualify for full amounts because they have other earnings and resources.
