The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will begin delivering SNAP benefits on April 1, 2025. The largest Food Stamp amount for 4 is $975. It may be less money if you get a reduction because you have other earnings or benefits though.

For example, the average SNAP payment for 4 is about $726 claimed the Center on Budget and Policy Priority. Not all States will start on April 1. For example, South Dakota will start sending money on April 10, 2025. If you are new to the Food Stamps program or forgot when payments are due, check the full list below.

SNAP payment schedule for all household sizes in April

Luckily, if you live in Vermont, Rhode Island, Alaska, and North Dakota, you do not need to check the USDA monthly SNAP issuance schedule. These States only issue Food Stamp benefits on April 1, 2025. So, all eligible recipients get money on the same payday.

SNAP payment amounts if you are not 4 in your family

Some households may only have 1 person. Thus, if you are an individual on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, you can get up to $292. On average, that may be about $199.

The largest SNAP benefit through September 30, 2025, is for an 8-member family. In fact, they can receive from USDA up to $1,756 ($1,317 on average per CBPP). Any additional members, if your household size is bigger, can add $220.
