Why There’s No SSI Payment in November 2025, and Where Did Your Money Went

USDA and the Food and Nutrition Service have confirmed all the February payments for SNAP recipients in the United States. Bear in mind that Alaska and Hawaii will issue higher payments than the 48 contiguous States. Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands will also give more money due to higher inflation and cost of living in their territories.

The maximum SNAP amount a single person can get in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia is $292 in February. Thanks to the 2025 COLA increase, Food Stamps are slightly higher than in September 2024. Alaska (Rural 2) will be where beneficiaries can collect more money. One household member can get up to $586.

SNAP February payment schedule in the USA

Some States will not issue SNAP payments on February 1. Therefore, there will be Food Stamp recipients who will need to wait longer for their payments to start. South Dakota is a clear example. Food Stamps will be on your EBT card on February 10, but not before. Actually, this will be their only payday.

What if my SNAP payments are expiring soon?

If this is the last SNAP payment you qualify for, you may need to recertify. Contact your local SNAP office if you have not received the recertification package because you will need to file the application form to renew your benefits and you must also attend an interview.

Those who are affected by the ABAWD (Able-Bodied Adult Without Dependents) time limit must work for at least 80 hours per month not to lose their SNAP payments.

Those aged 18-54 must meet these specific work requirements unless they qualify for an exemption. If you have not applied for SNAP benefits yet, you can do so online in the States you are currently living.
