The first day to collect SNAP will be April 1, 2025. However, if you live in Florida or Texas, you could still receive payments of up to $292 if your household size is 1. USDA’s April payment schedule will start on the 1st and will also be over on the 28th. Food Stamps are only for low-income Americans who qualified though.
Alaskans who live in the area designated as Rural 2 will be the ones who can receive up to $586. The second-highest maximum SNAP amount will be for recipients in Hawaii. A single person in Hawaii can get up to $517 from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in the U.S.
SNAP April Payments: max. $292 in 48 States
As a matter of fact, most States share the maximum amount of $292. USDA has set the same maximum amounts for the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia.
If you are a single SNAP recipient in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam, you can receive up to $376 and up to $431 respectively. USDA allows States to arrange paydays and applications for Food Stamps.
So, each State arranges paydays differently. It is true that some paydays are the same but the way payments are based differs. For example, some use the case number, others SSN, or EDG numbers among many other possibilities.
SNAP payday eligibility for $586 and $517
One of the easiest SNAP schedules in the United States is the one in Alaska. All Food Stamps will de deposited on April 1 regardless of your payment amount or case number.
If you live in Hawaii, it will be much easier than in most States but not as easy as in Alaska. For your information, there will be 2 payment dates set for April in Hawaii.
SNAP recipients will get payment on their EBT cards on April 3 or April 5. The first payday will be for those recipients whose first letter of the last name is A-I. If you qualify for the April 5 payment, the first letter of your last name is J-Z.
