USDA has set the maximum SNAP amount at $292 if you are an individual and you are currently living in any of the 48 contiguous States or in the District of Columbia. However, it is possible to receive a lot more if where you live there is a higher cost of living and inflation. This happens in Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii and Alaska. Three of them have already delivered all the Food Stamps, but some can still get them in Guam.
SNAP payments through April 10, 2025
Guam will be the place where you can get up to $431 if you are an individual through April 10, 2025. This United States territory distributes SNAP benefits using the Social Security Number. So, paydays are based on the recipients’ SSN. For example, if your SSN ends in 1, you will get your next Food Stamp payment on May 1.
- Social Security Number ends in 1 = Food Stamps available on May 1st
- Social Security Number ends in 2 = Food Stamps available on May 2nd
- Social Security Number ends in 3 = Food Stamps available on May 3rd
- Social Security Number ends in 4 = Food Stamps available on May 4th
- Social Security Number ends in 5 = Food Stamps available on May 5th
- Social Security Number ends in 6 = Food Stamps available on May 6th
- Social Security Number ends in 7 = Food Stamps available on May 7th
- Social Security Number ends in 8 = Food Stamps available on May 8th
- Social Security Number ends in 9 = Food Stamps available on May 9th
- Social Security Number ends in 0 = Food Stamps available on April 10th
Many States are also issuing SNAP payments in April. Texas and Florida will do so through April 28. So, they will be the States where some SNAP recipients will have to wait the longest.
