However, not all States finished on May 1. Only some of them issued all the <strong>Food Stamps<\/strong> on the first day of the month. Thus, if you live in Alaska, Rhode Island, Vermont, North Dakota, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, all you have to do is check your<strong> EBT card<\/strong> balance and buy all the groceries you need in authorized farmer markets, grocery stores, or retailers.<\/p>\n<p>The good thing is that <strong>SNAP benefits<\/strong> can be saved for the next month, so if you have managed to save <strong>money<\/strong> on groceries and you do not need to buy all the things at the same time, you can simply save them. This often happens in rural areas where they may have more crops in spring and summer, so they can save money on food using their own home-grown produce (potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, fruits, and so on).<\/p>\n<h2>SNAP Payments from May 3 through May 10<\/h2>\n<p>Most States will continue delivering <strong>SNAP<\/strong> benefits after May 1. One of them will not start distributing <strong>Food Stamps<\/strong> until May 10. This is the case in South Dakota. Therefore, they do not get a reduction from the Food Stamp office.<\/p>\n<p>A single person can get up to $292, 2 up to $536, 4 up to $975, and up to $1,756 for 8 in the<strong> 48 contiguous States.<\/strong> Only payments in Guam ($431 for 1) and in <strong>Hawaii<\/strong> will be higher than the maximum amounts in the 48 contiguous States.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maximum SNAP amounts in Hawaii<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>1: $517<br \/>\n2: $948<br \/>\n3: $1,357<br \/>\n4: $1,723<br \/>\n5: $2,046<br \/>\n6: $2,456<br \/>\n7: $2,714<br \/>\n8: $3,102<br \/>\nEach additional person can get $388<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>USDA has started distributing SNAP payments on May 1, 2025.
