Therefore, there can be reductions if you are receiving other benefits or earnings while you are receiving Food Stamps.<\/p>\n<p>In case you did not know, <strong>SNAP benefits<\/strong> only provide you with part of your monthly budget for food. Hence, you should look for other ways to supplement your income, not to rely on <strong>Food Stamps<\/strong> only. Other places where you can receive higher amounts than in the 48 contiguous States are Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Hawaii. On average, a <strong>family of 5<\/strong> gets about <strong>$845<\/strong> in the 48 contiguous States.<\/p>\n<h2>SNAP payment dates in May<\/h2>\n<p>Since the <strong>USDA<\/strong> allows each State or territory to administer <strong>SNAP paydays<\/strong> and applications, each recipient may get a payment on a different day. For example, the maximum <strong>Food Stamp payment<\/strong> in the 48 contiguous States for one is $292.<\/p>\n<p>If you are 2 people living in the same household and you qualify for <strong>SNAP<\/strong>, you can receive up to $536.
