If you are on <strong>Supplemental Security Income<\/strong>, you are not eligible either.<\/p>\n<p>For your information, the two key conditions that determine eligibility for the <strong>Social Security payment<\/strong> on April 9 are 2. First, you must have received approval and benefits after April 30, 1997. Second, you must have been born from the first to the tenth.<\/p>\n<h2>Social Security can send up to $5,108<\/h2>\n<p>Although American workers may qualify for a really small <strong>payment in retirement<\/strong>, some high earners are able to collect a monthly payment of up to $5,108 if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>they have worked for 35 years or more<\/li>\n<li>they have earned the taxable maximum all these years<\/li>\n<li>they have paid enough taxes to Social Security<\/li>\n<li>they have applied for retirement benefits at 70<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Workers who decide to file at the age of 62 can get up to <strong>$2,831<\/strong>. If you prefer to file when you get 100% of your benefits, at Full Retirement Age, you can receive up to <strong>$4,018<\/strong>. On average, <strong>Social Security payments<\/strong> are worth $1,980 as of February 2024.<\/p>\n<h2>Other payment dates for Social Security in April<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Administration<\/strong> will also issue monthly payments on <strong>April 16<\/strong> and on <strong>April 23<\/strong>, 2025. Again, the way to qualify for these retirement benefits on the 16th or 23rd has to do with birth dates.<\/p>\n<p>Retirees born from the 11th to the 20th will receive their <strong>Social Security payment<\/strong> on the 16th. If your birth date is from the 21st to the 31st, then, your payday will be April 23, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Those who began collecting <strong>retirement benefits<\/strong> before May 1997 or who are receiving <strong>SSI<\/strong> at the same time need to wait for the May payment.
