April 3 is also the payday for recipients who got retirement benefits before May 1997.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, you can receive 2 different monthly payments in less than 72 hours. Those <strong>Social Security<\/strong> recipients who are not on <strong>SSI<\/strong> and who began collecting benefits after April 30, 1997, can get payments on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The 9th: if you were born from the 1st to the 10th<\/li>\n<li>The 16th: if you were born from the 11th to the 20th<\/li>\n<li>The 23rd: if you were born from the 21st to the 31st<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While<strong> SSI payments<\/strong> are worth<strong> $715<\/strong> on average, <strong>Social Security<\/strong> recipients get about $1,980.
