To get SSI payments<\/strong> from the Federal Government<\/strong>, you must first meet the strict requirements set by the Social Security Administration<\/strong>. Two conditions all Supplemental Security Income recipients must meet have to do with income and resources.<\/p>\n

Once you meet these 2 conditions, having limited income and resources, you can check<\/strong> the other requirements. One way to qualify is to be 65 years old<\/strong>. Some may also qualify because they have a disability or because they are blind.<\/p>\n

When will the upcoming SSI payment be deposited?<\/h2>\n

As a matter of fact, April 1<\/strong> will be the first and only day when Supplemental Security Income<\/strong> recipients can collect their monthly payments in the U.S. SSA usually schedules this benefit on the first day of the month.<\/p>\n

However, there could be changes when the SSI payday f<\/strong>alls on a Federal Holiday or on the weekend. Actually, there are no upcoming holidays affecting the Supplemental Security schedule.<\/p>\n

Anyway, the June payment for SSI<\/strong> will be deposited on May 30, 2025. This is to avoid delays because June 1 is Sunday. Since the previous business day is May 30, this will be the payday. May 1 will be the normal payday and no delays are expected.<\/p>\n

Will you receive $967 from SSI or $1,450?<\/h2>\n

On average, Supplemental Security pays about $715<\/strong> as of February 2025. Nevertheless, those who get no reductions from Social Security will receive the full amount, $967.<\/p>\n

Some States may supplement these Federal payments<\/strong> to make up for inflation and soaring prices. For your information, only married couples who are both eligible for SSI can get up to $1,450.<\/p>\n

All the April payments include Social Security’s COLA increase<\/strong>. COLA is the Cost-of-Living Adjustment<\/strong> and it is generally announced in mid October.
