On average, workers with a disability<\/strong> get about $1,580.\u00a0<\/strong>For your information, not only can workers with a disability receive Social Security Disability Insurance payments.<\/p>\n

As a matter of fact, their family, spouse, or child, can also get SSDI payments<\/strong> if eligible. A spouse of a worker with a disability can get $431 on average. Those recipients whose children qualify can receive $510 on average.<\/p>\n

Does the February 26 SSDI payment include the 2025 COLA?<\/h2>\n

Actually, all the Social Security Disability Insurance<\/strong> payments in February and in the upcoming months include the 2025 COLA increase<\/strong>. Therefore, if you are receiving a Disability Insurance payment for the first time, you are receiving 2.5% more than you would have done in 2024.<\/p>\n

COLA increases<\/strong> are for SSDI, SSI, and retirement benefits<\/strong>. They come annually when inflation goes up. Bear in mind that Social Security will not unveil the 2026 COLA increase until next October.<\/p>\n
