Therefore, this will be the last payment in February for retired workers. However, the <strong>Agency<\/strong> has also confirmed a completely different payday on Friday.<\/p>\n<h2>Social Security on Feb. 26 &amp; SSI on Feb. 28<\/h2>\n<p>While retirees will get a monthly payment on February 26 if they were born from the 21st to the 31st, all <strong>SSI<\/strong> beneficiaries will get it on<strong> February 28<\/strong>, 2025. As a matter of fact, it will be the <strong>only payday<\/strong> for SSI for the next month.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, these <strong>SSI payments<\/strong> were scheduled<strong> in advance<\/strong> to avoid delays because Social Security cannot schedule payments on the weekend. Both SSA offices and banks are closed on Saturdays, so March 1, 2025, cannot be the normal payday.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that while this will be the only payday for SSI, it will be the fourth for retirees. Those retirees who are on SSI do <strong>not qualify<\/strong> for the February 26 payment. Nor those on <strong>Social Security benefits<\/strong> before May 1997.<\/p>\n<h2>Social Security and SSI payment amounts<\/h2>\n<p>The maximum amounts for <strong>SSI<\/strong> will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> $967<\/strong> for individuals,<\/li>\n<li>$1,450 for eligible married couples, and<\/li>\n<li>$484 for an essential person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>maximum payment<\/strong> amounts for <strong>retirees<\/strong> on February 26 will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>$5,108<\/strong>: if you filed at 70, worked for 35 years in jobs covered by SSA and you earned the contribution and benefit base for 35 years too<\/li>\n<li>$4,018: the same as before but you filed at Full Retirement Age<\/li>\n<li>$2,831: the same as before but you filed at 62<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On <strong>average, retirees<\/strong> can get about <strong>$1,978<\/strong>. This is the amount that <strong>SSA<\/strong> announced in its Monthly Statistical Snapshot, for January 2025.
