Actually, it should have been scheduled for March 1, 2025, but it was not viable.<\/p>\n<p>For your information, the <strong>Administration<\/strong> cannot schedule or issue payments on the weekend. What is more, it is not possible either to do that on a Federal Holiday. That is why there has been this <strong>change of payday<\/strong> for the <strong>SSI<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n<h2>SSI cannot be issued on March 1<\/h2>\n<p>March 1 is Saturday. As it was stated previously, the<strong> Social Security Administration<\/strong> can never pay on those days. As a result, the only way to avoid this situation is to issue the <strong>Supplemental Security Income<\/strong> payment on the previous <strong>business day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>So, all SSI recipients who qualify for this program <strong>will receive their payment on February 28, 2025.<\/strong> It does not really matter if it falls in the previous month or if it is 24 hours ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n<p>By doing so, the Agency wants to make sure that no <strong>SSI<\/strong> recipient gets their money late. Supplemental Security is for low-income Americans, so they rely on this money to make ends meet. Sending payments on time is essential then.<\/p>\n<h2>Social Security SSI: March Payments Scheduled for February \u2013 Check Your Amount<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Supplemental Security Income<\/strong> payments will include the <strong>2025 Cost-of-Living Adjustment<\/strong> and checks can be up to $967 for individuals. If you are an eligible married couple on Supplemental Security Income, it could be a lot more.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the new and updated maximum amount for couples who both qualify is <strong>$1,450<\/strong>. The lowest payment will be for essential persons who can only receive up to $484.<\/p>\n<p>On average,<strong> SSI payments<\/strong> are the lowest if compared to Social Security Disability Insurance or retirement benefits. They are about <strong>$696<\/strong> as of December 2024. <strong>Seniors get about $575<\/strong> on average. If you are aged 18-64, the average payment for your age is $743.
