The February payments<\/strong> are starting to be delivered by the Social Security Administration<\/strong>. No doubt, the best week for disability<\/strong> beneficiaries, those on SSDI or SSI<\/strong> will be the last one. This is when the Agency<\/strong> has announced two completely different paydays.<\/p>\n

One will take place on February 26<\/strong> and it will only be for SSDI<\/strong> recipients. The other one will be sent on February 28<\/strong> and it will only be for SSI<\/strong> (Supplemental Security Income). Even if you can only receive one of them, it is great news because payments<\/strong> are coming to those who need it the most. What is more, some SSI recipients will get another payment from Social Security<\/strong> on March 3.<\/p>\n

Eligibility and amounts for SSDI on February 26<\/h2>\n

The Social Security Administration<\/strong> (SSA) claims that this will be your payday if you meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • not receiving Supplemental Security Income payments<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • not started collecting SSDI<\/strong> before May 1997<\/li>\n
  • not broken SSA rules<\/li>\n
  • were born from the 21st to the 31st<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    As for the amounts of the SSDI payments,<\/strong> beneficiaries may get about $1,580<\/strong> on average. However, if you worked for few years and your salary was too low, you may get a lot less. High earners can get up to $4,018, but it is unlikely to receive such a large payment on February 26.<\/p>\n

    SSI on February 28, SSDI on March 3<\/h2>\n

    Eligibility for SSI<\/strong> on February 28 is simple. All recipients who got approval from Social Security<\/strong> and have remained eligible will get a new payment on February 28, 2025.<\/p>\n

    This is the March SSI payment in advance<\/strong>. So all SSI beneficiaries will get their money before the normal payday. What is more, if you are also receiving Social Security Disability Insurance<\/strong>, you will not be eligible for the February 26, but for the March 3 payday.<\/p>\n

    Thus, you will collect 2 different payments, SSI and then SSDI<\/strong> in a very short period of time. Those beneficiaries who receive a low SSDI payment can also apply for SSI if they have not done so yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
