The maximum <strong>Food Stamp<\/strong> amount in the 48 contiguous States will be up to <strong>$975<\/strong> if you live in a four-member family.<\/p>\n<p>On average, a family of 4 can receive about <strong>$726<\/strong> according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priority. Whether it is the full amount or the average payment, it is a great deal of money to save on groceries. If you are working or receive other payments, a lower<strong> SNAP check<\/strong> may be possible.<\/p>\n<h2>Will all States issue SNAP payments for 4-member families on Feb 1.?<\/h2>\n<p>Some states will not issue payments on February 1. However, they may start delivering Food Stamps on February 2, 3, 4 or 5. If you live in <strong>South Dakota<\/strong>, you will need to wait until <strong>February 10<\/strong>. The thing is your benefit payment may be different.<\/p>\n<p>For example, a single person on <strong>SNAP benefits can only receive up to $292<\/strong>. Families with 2 members can receive up to $536.
