Remember this is a benefit for low-income Americans.<\/p>\n<h2>Who will receive SSI on January 31, 2025, in the U.S.?<\/h2>\n<p>This will be the February payment date for all eligible recipients. Unlike <strong>Social Security payments<\/strong>, it only has a single payday. Therefore, this will be your payday if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have filed and gotten approval<\/li>\n<li>remain eligible (e.g. do not exceed the income and resource limits)<\/li>\n<li>meet one of the following requirements\n<ul>\n<li>have a qualifying disability<\/li>\n<li>are blind<\/li>\n<li>are 65 years old or older<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting any health improvement when you have a disability and receive<strong> SSI payments<\/strong> is essential. If you start working, you must also inform SSA.<\/p>\n<h2>What if I am not a married couple and qualify as an individual for SSI?<\/h2>\n<p>While eligible married couples can receive <strong>checks or direct deposits<\/strong> of up to $1,450, there are other maximum amounts. For instance, if you are an essential person, you could get up to<strong> $484<\/strong> on January 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Individuals<\/strong> on SSI benefits can receive up to <strong>$967<\/strong>, up from $943 in 2024. Thanks to the <strong>COLA increase<\/strong> benefits have gone up by about 2.5%.
