That is since before May 1997. However, the maximum benefit payments will be much higher for retirees.<\/p>\n<p>For example, <strong>those who file at 70<\/strong> can receive up to <strong>$5,108 in 2025<\/strong>. Filing for SSDI at this age is not possible because a disability prevents you from working before the Full Retirement Age in most cases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SSDI recipients can get up to $4,018 in 2025<\/strong>. This will be the largest benefit for retirees at Full Retirement Age too. Those who file for retirement at 62 can get up to $2,831.
