The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can provide you with up to $536 if there are 2 eligible members in your household. So, you could be married or not. This was previously known as Food Stamps and it is a Federal program to help low-income Americans fight food insecurity.

SNAP payments in April started on the 1st and they will continue through the 28th. Therefore, not all eligible recipients will collect the monthly payments from USDA on the same payday.

For your information, the paydays are not based on the number of people living in the same household. Each State bases SNAP paydays on different criteria like a case number, EDG number, ID, or SSN last number among other options.

Are the maximum SNAP amounts for 2 the same everywhere?

As a matter of fact, the maximum SNAP amounts are only the same in the 48 contiguous States. For example, a 2-member household can get up to $790 in Guam and up to $689 in the United States Virgin Islands.

Nevertheless, these are not the maximum SNAP amounts for 2 in the U.S. Only Alaska and Hawaii send the largest Food Stamp payments in 2025. A 2-member household on this program can get up to $1,074 in Alaska (Rural 2).

If you live in Hawaii and you are 2 members, you can receive up to $948 in 2025. Even if the Cost-of-Living Adjustment has decreased these maximum amounts, they are still higher than in the 48 contiguous States.
