The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) has announced that the State of Michigan, Hawaii, and North Carolina start issuing SNAP payments on February 3, 2025. However, Hawaii will issue higher maximum payments than the other 2 States because of higher inflation.

On average, the maximum SNAP payment a family of 8 can receive is $1,317. If you are 4 people living in the same household, it could be about $726 on average. These average amounts are provided by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. A single person can receive about $199 on average. Even if many recipients do not get the full amount, checks are vital to get by.
